Who We Are
The Play Reading Group is a casual monthly get-together for anyone who enjoys a good script. We're teachers, accountants, retirees, students and everyone in between.
We read, we stumble over lines, we laugh, and then we talk about the play over a pint. No pressure, no drama. Well, only the good kind.

Save a SeatA Typical Sunday
Third Sunday of the month, 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Grab your drink, say hello, and claim a seat around the reading table.
The Curator shares the script a few days ahead so returning members can have a look. At the table, roles are handed out and we do a quick character rundown before we begin.
We read through the full play together. Laughing, stumbling, discovering. Whether it's your first time or your fiftieth, something always surprises you.
Post-read, we open the floor. What surprised you? What landed? What didn't? The conversation is always lively.

We're opening up the group as we move into our new pub home. You don't need any experience. If you can read aloud and enjoy a good story, you'll fit right in.
